<p class="rtejustify">After an tense 2 days Riga City Cup U-14 tournament has come to conclussion. It is West Bromwich Albion who can now call themselves Champions as they beat Zalgirietis from Lithuania in the final match <strong>2:1.</strong> A big role in their triumph played <strong>Morgan Rogers </strong>who stepped up when they needed it the most. He scored 4 goals in last 2 games and was afterwards named player of the tournament. At the other end <strong>Ilja Tuseev</strong> from Master Saturn got the prize for Best Goalkeeper of&nbsp; the tournament. Though there were no Latvian teams in top 4, a FS Metta striker <strong>Jekabs Laguns </strong>became tournaments Best Goal Scorer with 6 goals. <p class="rtejustify">In less than 2 days in Riga Olympic Centre, Grostonas 6b, Riga, an international youth football tournament Riga City Cup will take place. This will be the second tournament of such kind. First of them happened a week ago for an age group U-13 boys and FS Metta&nbsp;Riga from&nbsp;Latvia became Champions. Teams from Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Germany and England will be there and will try to prove that they are the best footballers. First match starts at 9:30 on Saturday when Mastern Saturn from Russia will take on FS Metta Riga from Latvia.</p>

<p>After a confident performance throughout the whole competition FS Metta deservedly became the Champions of Riga City Cup U-13 tournament. It was Northern Ireland Selection Team who became runners up by losing 1-3 in final. But 3^rd place went to arguably the best Swedish football academy Malmo FF as they beat Sitika FS 3-1.</p> <p>With a total of 58 matches played and 90 goals scored in 2 days Riga City Cup was a place to be over the weekend. Boys from Sweden, UK, Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia were fighting for every inch on the field and did their best to prove everyone that they can play a good quality football. <p class="rtejustify">First day of Riga City Cup age group U-13 tournament has finished! In total 16 matches were played between 10 teams and 3 of them made sure to get all of the possible points - FS Metta, Malmo FF and N.Ireland Selecion Team all won 3 of their 3 matches and made sure to qualify for the next round even before the last game of the group stage. In total 56 goals were scored today, meaning that more than 3 goals in average&nbsp;were scored in match. Three players - <strong>O.Jurgens</strong> from Malmo FF, <strong>A.Kucys </strong>from Lithuania Selection Team,<strong> K.Rekis</strong> from FS Metta - scored 4 goals today and will keep fighting for the top scorer of tournament tomorrow. First games tomorrow starts at 8:30 and goes all the way till 15:30 when the final will be played. Football School Metta together with Baltic Football School are collaborating to organise 2 tournaments in 2 weeks time. First of them are going to happen this weekend, 1<strong>3th-14th</strong> of February, for age group 2003. Teams like Malmo FF from Sweden and Northern Ireland Selection Team will be competing and showcasing their abilities in this tournament. Second tournament will happen next weekend, <strong>20th-21st</strong> of February, for age group 2002 and teams like West Bromwich Albion and Hannover 96 will be a part of it.
