SSFCYA TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES & RULES  

Siparia Spurs Football Club Youth Academy’s annual invitational tournament is bound by our Code of Conduct, the TTFA rules & the Safeguarding Policy.

Participating age groups (born on or after):
- Under 8   – Born 28th March 2018 and later  
- Under 10 – Born 28th March 2016 and later  
- Under 12 – Born 28th March 2014 and later  
- Under 14 – Born 28th March 2012 and later  
- Under 17 – Born 28th March 2009 and later  

Registration:  
- Registration forms to be submitted from February 19th to March 20th, 2026

- Registration fee: $450.00 for 10 registered players per age group, thereafter $45.00 for any additional player, maximum 15 players per age group.  

Payment:
- Bank deposit to Republic Bank Limited chequing account #270 801 005 801 in name of Siparia Spurs Football Club Youth Academy  
- OR cash to Mr. Caesar Mitchell (680-4874) / Mr. Roger Worrell (754-1394)

Example tournament schedule (approximate, assuming 09:00 start): 
- 09:00 – First matches across all fields (U8, U10, U12, U14, U17)  
- After each match: 5-minute break → next game starts roughly 15–30 minutes after the previous start (depending on age group duration and number of fields)  
- Shorter games (U8, U10) allow more matches per day  
- Longer games (U14, U17) provide more rest for players  
- Afternoon: group stage → knockout rounds (place games/semi-finals/final)  
- Expected finish: 15:00–17:00 (depending on number of teams and fields)

Point System:
- Win: 3 points  
- Draw: 1 point  
- Loss: 0 points  

Other Rules:
- Players are not allowed to play for more than one team.  
- A default win shall be awarded to the opposing team with a 3–0 score line if a team fails to appear.
- All penalties shall be one step and kick.  
- All players must wear the team's uniform to participate.  
- Unlimited flying substitutions at the half line are allowed.  
- A player cannot wear anything that is dangerous to another player or himself, which includes jewelry of any kind.  
- Footwear is limited to rubbers.
- Players must wear protective shin guards.
- The use of obscene language by players and team officials will not be tolerated and can result in disqualification of the team.  
- The referee will act as the official timekeeper and indicate the start and end of each play.  
- Yellow & red cards are at the referee’s discretion.  
- The organizing committee will abide by the decision of the referee & the TTFA Safeguarding policies.  
- FIFA rules and regulations shall be applied (adapted for youth tournament format).
