Rules
Our tenth consecutive tournament aims to bring together amateur hockey enthusiasts from Estonia, Latvia, and Finland. And of course, promoting a healthy and fun lifestyle and popularizing ice hockey in Estonia. On our part, we try to offer plenty of sports and an enjoyable time for both players and guests!
Time and venue
Kullid Cup X will take place in Tallinn at the Haabersti Ice Hall on August 28–29, 2026. The first game starts on Friday, August 28 at 16:30, and the last game, the final, starts on Saturday, August 29 at 19:30.
The award ceremony will take place after the final game in the ice hall or the festival area at approximately 20:00.
The detailed game schedule will be posted at the ice hall and on the Kakumäe Kullid Facebook page facebook.com, the tournament FB page facebook.com, and the tournament website www.turniir.ee/kullidcupx.
Game rules
The Kullid Cup 2026 tournament is held in accordance with the International Ice Hockey Federation rules: according to the FAIR PLAY AND RESPECT amateur rules, where body checking and slapshots are not allowed.
A player violating the rules will serve a 2-minute penalty.
The game length is 2x20 minutes of running time.
1 minute intermission and sides are not switched.
Games are officiated by 2 on-ice referees and a secretary-timekeeper.
The referees' decisions during the game are final and cannot be contested.
A team will be handed a 0:3 loss if:
12 teams participate in the tournament, drawn into three groups:
Group A:
1.G.O.F.
2. HC Wolferines
3. Tallinn Capitals WinZ
4. Kurase Hülged
Group B:
In the placement round, three teams play against each other according to the position achieved in the group stage.
Places 10-12
A4 vs B4 vs C4
Places 7-9
A3 vs B3 vs C3
Places 4-6
A2 vs B2 vs C2
Places 1-3
A1 vs B1 vs C1
In the event of a tie in regulation time during the placement round, the winner will be determined by a penalty shootout. Teams choose 3 players to start taking the penalty shootouts. If a winner is not determined after the first three shooters, one shooter is added with each new round and the winner is determined by "sudden death", until one of the teams misses, i.e., one scores and the other team does not.
The ranking in the placement round is determined similarly to the group stage, with the difference that instead of a tie, the team that won by penalty shootout gets 1 point (win 2 points, win by penalty shootout 1 point, loss 0 points).
In the Kakumäe Kullid hockey tournament, each participant is personally responsible for their health status.
The organizer is not responsible for traumas, bodily injuries, and lost property of the tournament participants, as well as anyone present at the Haabersti Ice Hall and the surrounding territory.
Kullid Cup 2026 is a friendly tournament and all teams must behave in a friendly manner. We have zero tolerance for fights taking place on the ice (and off the ice). Any team that starts or escalates a fight will be disqualified from the tournament.
Resolving fights and other situations not listed above.
Since the goal is to provide a pleasant experience for amateur players, then:
The tournament is organized to enjoy the weekend, ice hockey, and friends. Please adhere to this principle.
The tournament participation fee is 675 eur per team. Regarding payment, please contact the head organizer directly (Kaarel Kose).

Participants
Amateur teams participate in the tournament. We assume that all teams will come with their usual rosters, but since this is a competition between two seasons, all good friends are of course allowed. But with the exception that in order to maintain and raise the tournament level and the motivation of true amateurs, we exclude active (semi-)professional players who have recently participated in the top leagues of their countries/region. In short, anyone who has a name on the EliteProspects page, we will review. Female players are an exception.

Resolving fights and other situations not listed above.
Since the goal is to provide a pleasant experience for amateur players, then:
- Such situations will not arise at the tournament
- We do not need to resolve them
- In the worst-case scenario, the tournament disciplinary committee, consisting of the head referee of the game, the head organizer of the tournament, and an arbitrator appointed by the head organizer, will convene and make a decision (presumably within 15 minutes) which cannot be appealed. The heaviest penalty is the immediate removal of the offending team from the tournament. A lighter penalty is the removal of the offending player from the tournament and/or a 0:3 technical loss to the offending team.
- We ask everyone to read points 1 and 2 again.
